Police have erected a crime scene cordon at a play park in Newport following an incident earlier this evening (Friday).
Emergency teams, including an ambulance and 2 rapid response vehicles from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, responded to Furrlongs on Pan Estate shortly before 19:00.
Officers have now cordoned off an area of the Downside playing field as investigations get underway.
It’s currently unclear what exactly has prompted the emergency response and whether anyone has been seriously injured.
Hampshire Constabulary has been approached for a statement.
