Police and paramedics are tending to a motorcyclist who has been involved in a road traffic incident between Ryde and Brading this afternoon (Thursday).
The incident, which happened just before 16:00, has occurred on the straight section of Beaper Shute between Rowborough and Whitefield Woods.
Traffic is moving in both directions, albeit with delays.
UPDATE – It has been confirmed that the motorcyclist has received minor injuries as a result of a crash involving a car.
The scene is expected to be cleared shortly.

I drive a lot on the islands, you really have to keep your wits about you. Standards of bike riding is terrible on the island.
