Police on the Isle of Wight are reinforcing the ‘It’s Not Worth It’ message following the seizure of a car in Wroxall this afternoon (Friday).
A Toyota Rav4 has been taken off the Island’s streets after being stopped at the roadside on Mountfield Road.
Officers pulled the vehicle for having no insurance, tax or MOT. The vehicle’s MOT ran out a month ago but it has been untaxed since November last year.
Driving without insurance carries a £300 fine with 6 penalty points attached.
UPDATE @ 15:57 – Police have seized yet another vehicle with no insurance, tax or MOT.
The Renault Megane has been seized by Isle of Wight officers after they discovered that the vehicle hasn’t been taxed since April 2018, has had no MOT since February and has no valid insurance in place.

Good it’s about time this started happening. Too many people thinking they can get away with it
Dam right!
Crush it and get some more to crush.
Police should check the roads in Totland Bay. Several without tax
How can you tell, unless you go on the DVLA web site and if that’s the case I think you should get a life
This begs the question. “Why are the Police not doing this routinely”? Do they not have eyes and ANPR? I have always driven legally and resent the smart arses who flout the law. They want public services and good roads but are not prepared to.share in the cost.
Where can you report un MOT’d cars?
