A 24-year-old man from Newport has been arrested after he crashed his Audi into 4 parked cars on a quiet road in Newport last night (Sunday).
As previously reported by Island Echo, the Police, an Ambulance and a Fire crew from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident on Robin Hood Street in Newport at around 21:30.
The driver of the vehicle had caught the attention of Police on patrol after he made a right-hand turn against a no-right turn sign into Furrlongs.
Officers located the vehicle and found it on Robin Hood Street, where the driver had collided with 4 parked cars and a fence.
The driver has since been reported for driving without due care and attention.
This is not driving without due care and attention, this is terrorism…it could have killed people, this foul species should have been shot on site…
So should idiots who can’t spell simple words like “sight”.

It’s correct -on site, like a Building site, on a piece of land ,he did not say in sight. Anyhow should be dangerous driving and criminal damage at very least. Driving without due care and attention is accidently driving through red light . Not police fault it’s the CPS again always giving Crims the lesser charge.

If that is outside the Robin Hood he is also going the wrong way in that end of the street.
Despite having 2 cctv cameras on the lamp post outside the bowling alley no action is ever taken against th cretins who drive through the one way bit of road between the two carriageways, cyclists totally ignore the no entry signs as do a number of the , so called, professional taxi drivers.

Hitting 4 parked cars and a fence, and all they can find is “without due care and attention”? I suppose they have to catch him/her while still under the influence to get him/her for the real crime.
