Motorists in Newport are facing delays following a road traffic collision on the Dual Carriageway this afternoon (Thursday)
Emergency services including officers from Hampshire Constabulary and 2 ambulances from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are at the scene on Medina Way where a motor scooter is said to have been involved in a collision.
Tailbacks are being experienced by those travelling on the Dual Carriageway, along with motorists travelling through St Mary’s Junction and Newport’s Industrial Estate as crews tend to those involved.
The road traffic accident rate has rocketed recently, bit worrying?
It was a pizza delivery bike. Rider and ambulance already gone when I passed the scene although the police were still there, presumably to polish off the pizzas… Hope the rider is ok.
