41-year-old Daniel Kilshaw appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court once again on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
The court heard that it was on 20th February this year that Police were called to Sandham House on Fort Street, Sandown following reports from a support worker that Kilshaw had caused criminal damage to the supported accommodation unit.
Liz Miller, prosecuting, explained that CCTV footage showed Daniel Kilshaw using a curtain pole to cause damage to the ceiling and door of the communal areas. It had also been discovered by staff at Sandham House that a fridge door within Kilshaw’s room had been ripped off its hinges.
Defending, Oscar Vincent said that his client had been set upon by a number of other residents which led to a distressed and emotional Kilshaw relapsing, resulting in the criminal damage being carried out. Mr Vincent explained that Kilshaw had been allowed to stay at Sandham House on the condition that he accepted help and regularised his medication.
Despite hearing from the Probation Service that Kilshaw had failed to attend and comply with a community order imposed on 7th December, Magistrates allowed the order to continue and ordered Daniel Kilshaw to pay £250 compensation to Southern Housing Group.
Kilshaw is a regular before the courts, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Know wonder he’s before the courts a lot where is the deterrent from him doing it again and why let the community order stand when he hasn’t complied with it before sorry the courts are a joke
clearly the others there have an issue with kilshaw for one reason or another – yet another burden on society
as he is unemployed the fine is meaningless as the taxpayer once again has to foot the bill for his behaviour.
Complete scumbag. Lock the puny little weasel up and throw away the key. He will continue to do this until the day he dies.
People try to help out this low life type of waste of space scum, give them somewhere to live for free and all the thanks they get is the place smashed up. free handouts for life, never a question asked not a penny towards any of the country’s resources and will continue to whelk off the state for life, and yet pensioners and the disabled have to fight for every penny. It’s about time some priorities were sorted out to who is the most important.
Expect the do gooders, will insist that he and many others continue to get there undeserved benefits.
Oh yeah DD, happens all the time and all too often. These are the ones that the low life rely on to back them up, they are the ones to blame for namby pamby sentences, and why they don’t care about going down, and a lot of the time get away with it all together, and the ones such low life aren’t affecting.
why are taxpayers being fined? the guy hasn’t got a pot to p#ss in so how could he possibly pay it himself!
