A Ryde man has been charged with numerous shoplifting offences following an incident at Morrison’s in Ryde over the weekend. Daniel Jeavons, 32, of Ryde Esplanade, was charged yesterday (Monday) with 4 counts of theft from a shop. All the offending relates to incidents alleged to have occurred at Morrison’s on Union Street in Ryde on Sunday 28th January this year. Jeavons was also charged with common assault after it’s alleged that a member of staff was pushed during one of the incidents in Morrison’s. He was bailed with conditions to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 13th February.
