A 50-year-old man is to be interviewed after a knife and wraps of drugs were found on his person as he stepped off an Island Line train yesterday (Wednesday).
Police stopped and searched the male as he got off the train in Brading.
Officers seized some cannabis, two wraps of suspected heroin, and a lock knife.
Enquiries remain ongoing and the man will be interviewed under caution for drugs and weapon offences in due course.
A spokesperson from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“We urge the community to keep reporting information to us about drug supply in their neighbourhoods. This helps us develop the wider intelligence picture, which supports the work that our officers carry out in the community such as targeted patrols and utilising stop and search powers.”

Nothing will happen. The Tories have thrown this country to the dogs. They will do only what is needed so they can continue to feed from our taxes. When it’s all gone they will run to another country with our their stolen money. Just like Putin did with Russia.
Err … Putin is still in Russia. What are you wittering on about?
Can’t wait for Labour to get in and cure property shortage, illegal and excess immigration, social disorder, police malfunction and corruption, NHS waiting lists and underperforming, knife and general crime rates, racism, drug dealing, dog poo, littering…and farting on buses. Oh dear. Just looked in my crystal ball and saw that it will all get worse. When will it sink in that we get the services and governance we deserve?
50? Carrying a knife & drugs? Jail it.
Sorry jails are full up, smack on the wrist.
“Keep reporting info to us about drug supply” – say the Police. We have been doing this for years now, only for no action to be taken. So we have all given up now – the Police here are a total let down and useless.
Daily we see drug running going on unchallenged and those involved are laughing.
Here we see someone with a knife weapon, carrying drugs and he’s just going to be interviewed..
We are starting to ask – if these criminals are being protected..
good old isle of wight just another day on the island
Until Druggies are behind bars no one is safe.
