A 25-year-old man has been arrested by Police on suspicion of possession of a knife following an incident in Ryde this morning (Saturday), which has also led to the arrest of 2 others.
Officers were called to Ryde Esplanade near Superbowl at around 09:30 this morning following reports of an assault.
A man in his 20s suffered an injury to his nose in the alleged incident, according to Hampshire Constabulary
The 25-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of assault and on suspicion of possession of a knife.
It has also been confirmed that a 17-year-old girl, also from Ryde, has been arrested on suspicion of drunk and disorderly in a public place.
A 26-year-old, also from Ryde, has been detained on suspicion of criminal damage.


















































































That trio of comedians were insulting drivers at the entrance to the pier, heading towards the fastcat at 0840 this morning, staggering around the bus station and being rude and aggressive – I guess their days drinking came to an abrupt halt. They were looking for trouble all along the seafront.
Instances like this can be caught on CCTV providing vital evidence for prosecution. Cut CCTV no evidence no prosecution gives them the chance to do it again and seriously injure someone good thinking Isle of Wight council makes perfect sense.
