An issue with the link span at Wightlink’s Fishbourne terminal is causing delays to cross-Solent travel this afternoon (Tuesday).
A number of Island Echo readers are reporting that the Fishbourne-Portsmouth car ferry service is delayed, although Wightlink’s official service status states that things are running to timetable.
Victoria of Wight is currently holding in the Solent as it is unable to dock until St Clare vacates the berth.
UPDATE @ 13:45 – Wightlink have now confirmed that there are delays of 75 minutes on the Fishbourne-Portsmouth route due to a mechanical issue with an essential piece of equipment.
Customers are being told to still check in on time.
