Monday 4th December – Friday 8th December 2023
• Antonia Fisher, 36, of Oak Vale, Oakfield pleaded guilty to drink driving (96). She was banned from driving for 25 months and made subject to a 18-month community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation days attached, as well as a 6-month alcohol treatment requirement. She was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge. • Jonathon Binnington, 25, of Hatherton Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to drink driving (45). He was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £120 surcharge. • Dax Ballantyne, 21, of St Johns Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to possession of a flick knife or gravity knife. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge. • Jamie Matlock, 42, of Hope Mead, Langbridge pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was handed a 2-week prison sentence and ordered to pay £93.49 compensation. • Toni Antwiss, 35, of Prospect Road, Newport was found guilty of assault by beating of an emergency worker. She was fined £300 and ordered to pay £100 compensation, with a £120 surcharge. • Warren Russell, 40, of Barton Road, Newport pleaded guilty to 2x theft from a shop, attempt theft from a shop and failing to comply with a community protection notice. He was handed a 6-week prison sentence. Magistrates noted he has an appalling record of theft offences and committed further offences on 3 separate days within 6 days of being given a ‘last chance’. • Jake Dunkling, 34, of Nodgham Lane, Newport pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with a 6-month drug rehabilitation residential requirement and 30 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £1,434 compensation. Separately, he pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. • Laurence Marsden, 24, of Bernard Road, Cowes was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, for 2x exposure, sexual assault on a female and producing a controlled drug of Class B. He was made subject to an electronic tag and much complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 40 rehabilitation days. He was also ordered to sign as a sex offender for a period of 7 years and is banned from going to the Red Squirrel cycle path for 9 months. He was ordered to pay £650 costs and a £154 surcharge. • Perry Powell, 29, of Creek Gardens, Wootton pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £154 surcharge and must complete 150 hours of unpaid work and 25 rehabilitation days. He was banned from driving for 36 months. • Jason Kennett, 44, of Sibden Mews, Victoria Avenue, Shanklin pleaded guilty to 2x drug driving (cannabis and cocaine). He was banned from driving for 24 months and made subject to an 18-month community order with 6 rehabilitation days attached. He must also complete 19 days of a Thinking Skills programme. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge. • Roland Tomlin, 46, of Terminus Road, Cowes pleaded guilty to 3x theft from a shop, 3x attempted burglary and 1x burglary other than dwelling. He was made subject to a 18-month community order with a 4-month electronic tag. He must pay £1,104 compensation and complete 30 rehabilitation days. • Riko Baber, 34, of School Lane, Barton, Newport pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £200 compensation. • Vincent Goodall, 29, of Spanners Close, Chale pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £250 and was given a 6-month conditional discharge. • Will Sutherland, 22, of Salters Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to drink driving (177 in urine). He was banned from the roads for 14 months, fined £230 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £92 surcharge.

• Glyn Langdon, of Oaklyn Gardens in Shanklin, for speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £88 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points. • Jake Delannoy, of Collingwood Road in Shanklin, for speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £176 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 4 penalty points. • Jeffrey Keene, of Albany Road in Newport, for driving without 3rd party insurance and 2x using a motor vehicle/trailer with tyre with any of the ply/cord exposed. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £264 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 8 penalty points. • Jamie Doughty, of Lower Furlongs in Brading, for using a motor vehicle/trailer with tyre with any of the ply/cord exposed. He was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £176 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 3 points. • Finlay Bakewell, care of Cranleigh Gardens in Northwood was found guilty of failing to stop and driving without due care and attention. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £40 and a £48 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 5 penalty points. • Arlene Reina, of St Johns Road in Newport was found guilty of speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road and driving without a licence. She was fined £154 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £62 surcharge fee. Her licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points. • Samuel Buckingham, of Newport Road in Ventnor, for driving without 3rd party insurance and driving without a licence. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £264 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 8 penalty points. • Meysha Flemming, of William Street in Ryde, for speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. She was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £176 surcharge fee. Her licence was endorsed with 4 penalty points. • Ben Lansley, of Bowcombe Road in Carisbrooke, for fail to give information relating to the identification of a driver and use a motor vehicle on a road when the load is likely to cause danger. He was fined £880 and ordered to pay costs as £180 and a £352 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points. • Andrew Steward, of Seafield Road in Seaview, was found guilty of speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £293 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £117 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 4 penalty points. • Simon Roberts, of Springvale Road in Seaview, for speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and an £88 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with a total of 3 penalty points. • Mark Elkin, of Westminster Lane in Newport, for speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £60 and was ordered to pay costs of £16 and a surcharge fee of £24. His licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points. • Ben Travis, of Atherley Park Close in Shanklin, for speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road and driving without a seatbelt. He was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £176 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 4 penalty points. • Cameron Sinclair, of Union Street in Newport, was found guilty of driving on road other than motorway, fail comply with red/green arrow/lane closure light signals, driving/ride motor cycle on a road while using eye protectors not of type prescribed by the regulations and driving without a licence. He was fined £47 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £19 surcharge fee.
