Monday 28th April – Friday 9th May 2025
• Elisha Evelyn Gibbons, 31, care of Josephs Way, Shanklin, pleaded guilty to dishonestly making a false statement to obtain Universal Credit. She was ordered to pay a £60 fine, complete 15 rehabilitation days and pay costs of £85 with a £114 surcharge – repaying at £20 per month.
• Ross Smith, 46, of Falcon Road, East Cowes pleaded guilty to possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place. He was handed a 6-month custodial prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Christopher Thompson, 38, of Chilton Lane, Brighstone pleaded guilty to drink driving (91). He was banned from driving for 24 months, fined £604 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £242 surcharge.
• Terence Perkins, 40, no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a public spaces protection order / expedited order. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Raymond Skelly, 46, of Hadfield, Glossop, Derbyshire pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was handed a 22-week custodial prison sentence. He was ordered to pay £250 compensation.
• Sam Hart, 38, of Church Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to drug driving (BZE). He was banned from the roads for 3 years and made subject to a 12-month community order with 12 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge.
• Tyrone Pugh, 34, of Fishbourne Lane, Wootton was found guilty in his absence of driving without third party insurance. He was fined £660, handed 6 penalty points on his licence and ordered to pay £620 costs with a £264 surcharge.
• Timothy Young, 57, of Victoria Road, Sandown pleaded guilty to 18 counts of theft from a shop. He was handed a 12-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £947.55 compensation.
• Alex Cooper, 26, of Oaklyn Gardens, Shanklin pleaded guilty to 4x theft from a shop and 1x attempt theft from shop. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 150 hours of unpaid work and 10 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £901.76 compensation.
• Luke Burdett, 32, of Spanners Close, Chale Green pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay £26 compensation, a £40 fine and £85 costs.
• Hasan Hasan, 36, of Westhill Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis.He was banned from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay a £276 fine, £85 costs and a £110 surcharge.
• Thomas Peach, 31, of Highfield Road, Newport pleaded guilty to making indecent images of a child – namely 2x moving and 10x still of Category A, 1x moving and 22x still of Category B and 304x still of Category C. He was handed a 10-month custodial prison sentence, suspended for 24 months. He must sign as a Registered Sex Offender for a period of 10 years and complete 15 rehabilitation days. He has been made subject to a 5-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £154 surcharge.
• Cass O’Neill, 48, of Broadway Park Hotel, Melville Street, Sandown pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in private place, namely a knuckle duster. He was handed a 18-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Jay Clasper, 23, of Lower Woodside Road, Wootton pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Tammy Soper, 41, of Somerset Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to drink driving (44). She was banned from driving for 36 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge.
• Bradley Sparshot, 33, of York Avenue, East Cowes pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £20 compensation.
• Peter Adams, 41, of Great Preston Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to driving on road other than motorway, fail comply with red / green arrow / lane closure light signals. He was handed 3 penalty points on his licence, fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £16 surcharge.
• Penny Round, 52, of 1a Albert Street, Ryde pleaded guilty to criminal damage. She was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £250 compensation.
• Christopher Evans, 40, of Station Road, Wroxall pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £160 surcharge.
• James Shutler, 59, of Home Meade, Newport pleaded guilty to breach of a non-molestation order. He was handed a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days and 60 hours unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Neil Mouland, 40, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). He was banned from driving for 3 years, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £96 surcharge. He was fined a further £120 for the offence of driving without third-party insurance.
• Alan Tinsley, 40, of North Road, Shanklin pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis), drug driving (cannabis), drug driving (BZE) and possession of a Class C controlled drug (Pregabalin). He was banned from driving for 3 years and made subject to a 12-month community order with a daily curfew and 25 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Matthew Turvey, 31, of St Michaels Avenue, Ryde pleaded guilty to possession of indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child, namely 1x moving image of Category A, 11x indecent photographs of Category B and 49x indecent photographs of Category C. He was made subject to a 18-month community order with 30 rehabilitation days and 300 hours of unpaid work attached. He must sign as a Registered Sex Offender for a period of 5 years and has been made subject to a 5-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge.
