A new banking hub has opened in Ryde, giving residents and businesses access to cash and face-to-face banking services from a temporary home at Ryde Town Council on Lind Street.
Cash Access UK, the organisation set up to protect access to cash across the UK, is operating the facility between 09:00-17:00 every weekday.
Customers of all major banks can visit the hub to withdraw and deposit cash, check balances and pay bills. The services are also available to business customers.
The hub also offers a community banker service, allowing customers to speak to their own bank in a private space about more complicated issues on designated days.
Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland community bankers are available on Wednesdays, Barclays on Thursdays and NatWest on Fridays.
Community banker arrangements for Mondays and Tuesdays are yet to be confirmed.
The Lind Street facility is a temporary home for the banking hub, with Cash Access UK working to secure a long-term location in Ryde offering the same services.
There are now 2 banking hubs open on the Isle of Wight and more than 245 across the UK.
