Monday 15th January – Friday 19th January 2024
• Paul Gardner, 41, of Lake Green Road in Lake, admitted failing to comply with the community requirements of a suspended sentence order. His suspended sentence of 12 weeks for activated. • David Mears, 35, of Slade Road in Ryde, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. The original community order was revoked and resentenced with a new, 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days attached. • Acer Devin Berick Robinson, 28, of Osborne Road in Shanklin, was fined £290 after his community order for drug driving was revoked as the unpaid work requirement had become unworkable. • Andrew Christopher Taylor, 43, of Fort Street in Sandown, had his suspended sentence activated for a further offence of theft from a shop. Magistrates sent him to prison for a total of 6 weeks. • Morgan Streeter, 19, of The Avenue, Totland pleaded guilty to drink driving (62). He was banned from driving for 18 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge. • Kofi Mitchell, 25, of Highlands Road, Portslade, Brighton pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis) and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £680 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £272 surcharge. • Roland Tomlin, 46, of Terminus Road, Cowes pleaded guilty to 4x theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay £232 compensation. • Kelvin Parker, 32, of Wintergreen Gardens, Newport pleaded guilty to harassment without violence, 2x assault by beating and criminal damage. He was handed a 24-month community order with a 120 day alcohol abstinence requirement. He must complete 60 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation days. • Austin Collinstone, 49, West Street, Newport pleaded guilty to racially/religiously aggravated fear/provocation of violence by words/writing. He was handed an 18-month community order with 40 rehabilitation days attached. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs. • Terence Wolfe, 69, of Berry Close, Newport pleaded guilty using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence. He was fined £80. • Carl Etheridge, 48, of Royal Street, Sandown pleaded guilty to 4x theft from a shop. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £26.80 compensation. • Lois Hicks, 30, of Lake Green Road, Lake pleaded guilty to assault by beating, using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence and theft from a shop. She was made subject to a 12-month community order with a 6-month drug rehabilitation review requirement and 25 rehabilitation days attached. She was ordered to pay £200 compensation.
SINGLE JUSTICE PROCEDURE CASES
• Edward Walker, of Creek Gardens in Wootton Bridge was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £88 victim surcharge fee for driving without wearing a seatbelt. • David Porter, of Sunset Close in Freshwater was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £264 surcharge for failing to give information in relation to the identification of a driver when required. His licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points. • Mihaela Lupu, of Grafton Street in Sandown was fined £880 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £352 surcharge fee for stopping on a pelican crossing, driving without insurance and leaving a vehicle on a road not attended by person licensed to drive it. Their licence was endorsed with 6 points.
