Pupils from Lanesend Primary School joined Cowes Town Council and Cowes Mayor Stuart Ellis at Northwood Park yesterday (Wednesday) to mark Armistice Day with a wreath-laying ceremony.
The children helped to lay wreaths in remembrance and stood in quiet reflection to honour those who served and sacrificed in conflict. The event, organised by Cowes Town Council, was held to commemorate Armistice Day and encourage younger generations to take part in the act of remembrance.
Lanesend pupils were praised for showing respect, pride and dignity throughout the ceremony.
