Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a kitchen fire at a bungalow in Binstead this afternoon (Wednesday).
2 appliances from Ryde Fire Station are in attendance at a property on Parkway, opposite the junction of The Mall.
Firefighters have entered the residential address, however, it has been confirmed that the fire was out upon their arrival.
Crews are now using Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) to rid the bungalow of smoke.
No one has been injured and surrounding roads remain open as usual.
UPDATE @ 17:35 – Crews are now standing down from the incident.
It has been confirmed that a small fire broke out on a gas hob.
