Isle of Wight author Jo Cooper is set to release her latest historical novel, bringing to life the story of Nurse Peggy – a character inspired by her own mother’s experiences during the early years of the Second World War.
The story follows on from her Award winning success with ‘THERE WILL BE BLUE SKIES’, and brings into reality the life of the nurse, Peggy, who featured in Jo’s A RED SKY trilogy about child evacuees to the Island. Set in the early years of WW2 it shows the human trials of the period and is based on her mother and father’s lives.
Fiona Newnham-Brothers B.E.M said ‘Enticed into Nurse Peggy’s world during WW2, you will be kept on your toes, interleaving with real life events and the horrors of war. set on the Isle of Wight, with sweetheart Brian, the couple experience many dangers.’
