Niton’s Ryan Whitehall has claimed an impressive 3rd place finish in the Supersport feature race at the 2025 Manx Grand Prix.
Riding a Yamaha YZF‑R6 for WR Racing, Whitehall completed the four-lap Mountain Course in 1:16:32.858 at an average speed of 118.295 mph. He finished just behind winner Jamie Williams, who clocked 1:16:24.181 at 118.519 mph, and second-placed Caomhan Canny, who recorded 1:16:30.834 at 118.347 mph. The top three were separated by less than nine seconds, making it one of the closest finishes of the week.
Whitehall’s result marks a return to form following a series of determined performances in both road and circuit racing. In 2024, he placed 10th in the Senior Manx Grand Prix and finished third in the Cookstown 100 Grand Final. Earlier in his career, he claimed victories at Snetterton and Mallory Park, proving competitive in both Superstock and Supertwin classes.
He started racing in 2018, inspired by the Irish road racing scene. Despite a serious crash at Armoy that left him with a compound fracture in his leg, he returned to racing just weeks after surgery, going on to win the 600(B) race at Cookstown.
Whitehall’s career is notable not just for his resilience but also his adaptability across race formats. While best known for road racing, he has made successful appearances on short circuits, including strong showings at Bishopscourt and Kirkistown in Northern Ireland.
He is also expected to make his debut at the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix later this year, adding an international chapter to what is already a remarkable racing journey.

Doesn’t surprise me the way motorcyclists ride
along the Military Road, they get plenty of practice
when it comes to speeding.
Well done ryan brilliant effort keep going looking forward to seeing you at Macau
