A burst main has left thousands of Islanders in the North Wight without water this morning (Saturday).
The issue, which is understood to have occurred overnight, has left almost all customers with a Cowes postcode – as well as some with an East Cowes postcode – without supply.
Southern Water are aware of the issue and are investigating. Works to repair the issue are to begin imminently, Island Echo understands.
No detail has been given as to the exact location of the burst, or how long it will take to repair.
