A power cut has hit the Island this evening (Monday) resulting in the loss of power to residents and businesses in Rookley and Godshill.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) received reports of a fault to the network at 22.04 and have dispatched local engineers to the area to investigate the cause.
SSEN are anticipating that the majority of the supplies will be restored by 01:00 Tuesday morning.
A spokesperson for SSEN has said:
“We’re sorry for the loss of supply.
“We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.
“Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
