A new Inclusive Island development programme is set to launch for 2026, aiming to promote equality, diversity and opportunity across the Isle of Wight.
The initiative builds on work first introduced in February 2023, with an earlier event held at the Liz Earle base in Ryde supported by a range of contributors.
The programme is designed to create an environment where individuals from all backgrounds, abilities and levels of experience can grow and succeed. It focuses on promoting inclusion, equal access and a sense of belonging, while supporting both personal and professional development.
Organisers say the scheme will include tailored workshops, mentoring opportunities and collaborative activities, all aimed at encouraging innovation and ensuring every contribution is recognised.
The programme is also now linked to the Connect to Work Programme, with a focus on helping people across the Isle of Wight access employment and career opportunities.
Funding has been secured for 5 years. There are also plans to work alongside organisations including Isle of Wight Youth Trust, Osel and Palladium.
A launch forum is scheduled to take place at Solent Views, Hovertravel HQ in Ryde, on Thursday 30th April between 10:45 and 14:00.
