Several Island antiques and collectables businesses are to feature on the latest episode of BBC’s Antiques Road Trip tomorrow afternoon (Friday).
The episode was filmed back in May and sees antiques experts Catherine Southon and Ishy Khan travel across the Island in a white 1993 Toyota Starlet.
Having started the trip in Leicestershire, this visit to the Island was the final part of the series.
Catherine visits Antiek on Ryde’s High Street, where she meets owner Natalie and her collection of curios before then heading to Victoria Antiques & Collectables in Shanklin.
Ishy on the other hand visits Eclectica in Cowes, before heading to Jacks where he speaks to owners Paul and Gini Wyatt. Both Catherine and Ishy then finish their visit at Rattlemouse in Newport
The pair also enjoy a fossil walk along the Island’s West Coast with local expert Martin Simpson.
All items purchased on the trip went under the hammer in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire.
Antiques Road Trip airs at 16:30 on BBC One on Friday 29th November. It is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

I love the show, if only the antique shops
gave all their customers such discounts on
items they buy.
