Cowes Enterprise College has successfully achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the third consecutive year in a row.
The prestigious School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, to celebrate schools’ their commitment to the development of sporting competition within their school and the wider community.
This year’s sporting achievements at Cowes Enterprise College include a diverse array of extra-curricular clubs and fixtures, events led by Sports Leaders and Sports Captains, PEACH events, and PE transition activities.
With a significant number of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, Cowes Enterprise College has shared its pride for all students’ dedication to all aspects of school sport, including the young volunteers, leaders, and officials who have made these competitions possible and contributed to the success retention of the award.
As part of the rigorous application process, the academy was required to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce, and clubs, with the award recognising the hard work and commitment and passion of everyone at Cowes Enterprise College in their sporting activities.
The academy has confirmed it is excited to hold onto first place with its application for next year already in the works.
