It should be pointed out that other gyms on the Island charge £20-£25 per month (or down to £17 per month equivalent if you pay upfront for the year). They don’t have the swimming facilities that some Council centres do, and I guess that’s the extra you’re paying for, even though many probably don’t use them.
Not just swimming pools squash courts spin classes and many different fitness classes.
These centres should be self supporting 100% and not dependent on support from council tax. Separate businesses.
Roads should be self supporting 100% and not dependent on support from council tax. Separate businesses.
Of course it won’t be price for life. Like the £35 annual pensioner parking permits that went up in the space of a few years to nearly £500.
Just can’t afford the car parking charges!
Why don’t the council do their number one duty and provide housing that is fit to live in ? Island home finder is a farce, and so called choice based is a con, you are not allowed to properly see the properties, you express interest then they penalise you if you do not take it . So they can force people into some of their hell holes probably.
