A first-time fundraising event held at the Commodore Cinema in Ryde raised an impressive £1,605 for 3 charities close to the organisers’ hearts.
The lively event on Saturday (15th November) – which featured a quiz, bingo, raffle, and plenty of community spirit – marked the first time the Commodore team had hosted anything of this scale.
Despite a few minor hiccups, the night was a huge success, drawing in a fantastic turnout and a strong show of support for Leukaemia Care, The Daisy Bus, and Sands.
Those behind the event thanked everyone who attended and contributed, saying:
“I’m so grateful you chose to spend the evening with us and help support some amazing charities. It was hectic at times, but I hope you all had a lovely night!”
Generous donations from local businesses made the raffle a standout feature of the evening, contributing significantly to the fundraising total.
Funds raised will be split between Leukaemia Care, The Daisy Bus, and Sands.
Future events have already been teased.

Well done to all involved
