The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is assisting in clearing flood water from a commercial property in Yarmouth this evening (Thursday).
Retained firefighters from Freshwater are currently using hard suction, a main pump and a light portable pump to remove flood water from the basement of The George hotel.
Island Echo understands that firefighters from Ventnor have also been assisting with pumping at Rew Lane near Wroxall today.
3 flood alerts are currently in force on the Isle of Wight for Lugley Brook, River Medina and the Eastern Yar.
