A large scale operation to move an unwell individual from a residential property and into an awaiting ambulance is underway in Ryde this morning (Saturday).
2 fire crews, an aerial ladder platform and the Rescue Tender are all on scene at Victoria Street in the town having been called out at around 09:00.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service also has 2 ambulance crews on scene, including a low-level Patient Transport Service ambulance.
Firefighters are using specialist equipment to lift the casualty over the garden wall and into the adjacent public car park.
