Apollo Players have announced that their first production of 2026 will be Oliver Lansley’s daring comedy Immaculate, running from 6th-14th February.
The production, which blends sharp humour with provocative themes, comes with a clear content warning: it features strong language and makes derogatory references to Christianity. The theatre group acknowledges that the material may offend some, but hopes audiences will find it interesting, challenging, and hilarious.
The farcical story centres around a young, single woman who wakes up pregnant despite not having had sex in nearly a year. Things take a surreal turn when the Angel Gabriel arrives claiming to be the father – only to be followed by three other men, including her ex-boyfriend, a socially awkward schoolmate, and, most outrageously, Satan himself.
Apollo Players have said they are “delighted to welcome some new actors to the Apollo stage” for this production, alongside several long-standing performers.
