As a result of essential maintenance being completed on Red Jet 6, a revised timetable will be in operation on consecutive days later this week. The revised timetable will be in place on both Friday (19th) and Saturday (20th April). Many Islanders have feared this situation becoming a frequent one following the news that Red Funnel is selling Red Jet 4, reducing the service to a 2-craft operation. am i reading that wrong or is it on friday every 35 minutes and saturday every 70 minutes?
am i reading that wrong or is friday unchanged at every 35 minutes and saturday will be every 70 minutes?
Fridays running times change at 09-00am to 70 minutes.
It’d be news if the thing was actually running!
Under the old CEO they focused on operational effectiveness, efficiency, back ups and reliability to the customer. Their customer service was second to none and you could rely on them to operate in almost any conditions – including fog.
now, all you hear about is their commitment to diversity, inclusion and supporting pride events etc – the consequence of this has meant the focus on the priorities of the old CEO have been abandoned in favour of virtue signalling with the resulting reduction in reliability, service and performance to a less than mediocre level.
DEI – Doesnt mean diversity, equity and inclusion – it means “Didn’t Earn It”. The americans are finally waking up and ditching DEI.
So should red funnel.
I’m sure that none of the ferries will suffer from staffing issues or technical problems the festival weekend
Because they, like the festival, draft in mass temporary labour, usually uni students.
Essential Maintenance, is that to refuel? The Red Jets don’t travel far enough to wear or require maintenance every few days. It’s a good job transport firms don’t take their lorries off the road every few days!!
Doing repetitive short journeys is far more damaging to plant equipment, than longer higher speed journeys.
lies more lies and lies..
Load of Rubbish its a money saving exercise….don’t we all know this now
On the plus side: One less boat full of people with strange views headed to the UK mainland.
