Paramedics and Firefighters have rushed to Combley Great Wood in Havenstreet this afternoon (Tuesday) where a walker has suffered a medical episode in the woods.
Blue light colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service – including a Doctor – were called to the Forestry England site shortly after 15:00 where it is understood a medical emergency has occurred.
A single fire appliance from Newport has also been called to the scene to assist in moving the casualty from the site of the incident to the waiting ambulance.
Traffic is able to pass the pumping appliance on Combley Road.
It can happen to any of us, you never know what’s around the corner, hope the person is OK….
