Police and ambulance crews are in attendance at a road traffic collision on Yarmouth Road this morning (Saturday).
The incident has occurred on the stretch of road between Pound Lane and Elm Lane, just before Shalfleet.
The crash has seen a large HGV – with a mobile home on the back – collide with a silver Range Rover and a Vauxhall Corsa.
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are at the scene alongside paramedics from Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Firefighters from Newport and Freshwater have also been mobilised.
The road is currently blocked between the junction with Elm Lane and Pound Lane.
Southern Vectis route 7 buses are currently diverting locally.
UPDATE @ 11:40 – After firefighters were mobilised amid fears a person was trapped in the vehicle all casualties are free from those cars involved.
Fire appliances are beginning to stand down and leave the scene.
The HGV which was involved has since driven off with just minor damage to the front end.
UPDATE @12:00 – The road has now reopened.

The unstable motorist has struck once more, taking all opportunities to produce adrenaline to satisfy their imbalanced brain.
