Gritting of the roads will take place across the Isle of Wight tonight (Monday).
Island Roads have taken the decision to treat the road network from 22:00, as well as bridge decks at Stag Lane and Foxes Road, Newport.
Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and allow extra time for their journeys.
To find a list of all the Island's gritting routes, you can visit our dedicated Isle of Wight Gritting Routes & Winter Maintenance page.

Good to know some roads will be gritted, however it won’t stop the idiats coursing problems on our roads again..
Did you go to school or are you just not confident in speaking or writing the English language?
No! I don’t speak the English language! Know Wot I Mean, In-it…like know wot I mean….in-it….
Journies??
Prat
Did you do English at school?
Possibly a typing error, or have you all not heard of DYSLEXIA where a person spells PHONICALLY. The struggle is very real. Well done to Clare for having compassion and courage to put a valid comment, much nicer than the usual on here. Shame on you for showing your ignorance.
Well they been warned it’s going to be icey let’s see what happens
Something needs to be done about the water ‘run off’ across the road at Park Road Wootton. It was like a skating rink this morning and no amount of grit will help there all the time there is a film of water flowing across the road. The drainage needs improving!
(And before the usual idiots comment; no, I wasn’t speeding, driving dangerously, driving a ‘chav’ car, too young, too old, too ill, asleep, looking at a mobile device etc etc.)
