A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage following a disturbance in Binstead this morning.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Beatrice Close, off Ringwood Road, at 08:11.
Officers attended and arrested a male on suspicion of criminal damage. He was also arrested on suspicion of common assault of an emergency worker.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service also attended the incident.
Emergency services spent just over 2 hours on scene.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the detained individual remains in Police custody at Newport Police Staiton at this time.
