Tomato ketchup made using Isle of Wight-grown tomatoes is set to go on sale at Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop by next Friday (15th August).
The 100% British ketchup has been developed by food flavour company Condimaniacs using passata produced in Arreton, right here on the Isle of Wight, by the team at Isle of Wight Tomatoes.
Already known for its rich flavour and sustainable cultivation, Isle of Wight Tomato passata is now a key ingredient in the condiment, which is also being served at Clarkson’s Cotswold-based pub, The Farmer’s Dog.
The pub – built around a strict British-only sourcing policy – first introduced Isle of Wight Tomatoes on its menu earlier this year, as reported by Island Echo in June.
After hearing Jeremey Clarkson’s stance on banning ketchup in his pub, due to it not being British, Condimaniacs set out to produce a sauce that is not only packed with flavour but also fully traceable to British farms – from the tomatoes and vinegar to the packaging.
The launch at Diddly Squat Farm Shop – located in Chadlington and made famous by the hit Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm – gives customers the chance to buy a product that celebrates British food provenance from seed to shelf.
Stock is expected to arrive in store by Friday (15th August) – but it won’t hang around long!

Plants imported from holland tomatoes from spain as well workers from eu and a few ENGLISH UVE WORKED THERE
Are you ok?
Not for sale for long, apparently. Seems Self-opinionated numpty Clarkson isn’t very good at managing either a farm or a shop.
Knock it off with them negative waves
I’ve watched Clarkson’s farm love it. My whole opinion of him changed . To do what he does , the hours the work the effort, should be proud of himself for what he’s achieved.
So good for him. Most of us sit back and criticise while he actually got off his arse and made something our of nothing. Self opinionated or not he’s an achiever
Totally agree. Best program on TV.
He makes the world a better place, giving vent to the frustrations of modern life which we all experience all the time.
Great to have the spotlight on Isle of Wight produce.
