Visitors to a popular country park in the West Wight are being warned to be cautious when walking along the beach after a decomposing whale washed up today (Saturday).
Dog walkers and those with a sensitive disposition heading to Fort Victoria County Park in Yarmouth are urged to take care after the large sea creature appeared following yesterday’s storms.
The country park took to Facebook to issue the warning:
“Yesterday’s storms have brought up a decomposing whale onto the beach.
“Dogwalkers and rockpoolers be aware incase the tide doesn’t remove it.”
The relevant agencies have been informed about the situation.

Looks more like a small porpoise to me.
