Police are in attendance at a 2-car road traffic collision on Fairlee Road in Newport tonight (Tuesday).
The crash, involving a Ford Fiesta and an Audi S3, has occurred at the junction of Fairlee Road and the Link Road to the dual carriageway.
The passenger door of the Fiesta has been ripped away from the vehicle.
No one has been injured in the incident, but debris – including broken glass – has been thrown across the carriageway.
The crash happened at around 20:15.
The road remains open under direction and is expected to be cleared completely shortly.
Southern Vectis says it’s Routes 5 and 9 along Fairlee are on diversion along Staplers Road, Cross Lane and Halberry Lane to Medina. The Fairlee Road/Hillside and Sea Close bus stops will not be served until further notice.
