11 past captains and the incumbent Ladies’ Captain of Shanklin Sandown Golf Club, Dawn Hodge, took part in a 9-hole greensomes stableford competition, organised by Dawn’s predecessor, Chris Gould, on Monday (23rd September).
The competition was instigated in 1991 by the then Ladies’ Captain, Miss Freda (Johnny) Johns MBE.
Yvonne Wood, who was instrumental in founding the competition, took pleasure in presenting the trophies this year.
The winners with a score of 25 points were Dawn Hodge and Jackie Stephen, with Chris Gould and Louise Jensen taking second place with 22 points.
