A collision on a busy crossroads in Arreton caused significant delays earlier this morning (Thursday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were first called to the scene on the A3056 at Arreton Cross at around 10:00.
At the scene, a Kia and a Mercedes have collided, with both vehicles ending up on a verge.
It is unclear how the incident has occurred.
Recovery agents from Stag Lane quickly arrived on scene, working to recover the stricken vehicles as soon as possible.
Traffic approaching the junction in all directions, was heavy for a significant period.
Police have been approached for comment.

Can’t wait for the new pedestrian crossing to be completed too. Coming from Lake the 50mph speed sign is BEFORE the new crossing and crossroads – so no worries then. No doubt Island Roads have this in hand – umm yeah!
