A 32-foot yacht, which lost power in a fast-flowing tide in the River Medina late last (Tuesday) went on to receive assistance from Cowes RNLI lifeboat.
The yacht, carrying 7 people including 5 Europeans undergoing sea training, lost its engine power just beyond the floating bridge.
Those on board managed to secure the vessel to a post before radioing for help.
The lifeboat, which had launched at 22:43, provided an alongside tow, to deliver the yacht to Cowes Yacht Haven; it then returned to station at 23:35.
