Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones has opened a public consultation to develop her next Police and Crime Plan. After being re-elected in May, the Commissioner is keen to begin gathering feedback from the public on how she can work with the Chief Constable over the next 4 years to deliver a best-in-class police force. The Commissioner’s duty as an elected official is to listen to public concerns and set local policing priorities on the public’s behalf. Each priority in the new plan will be designed based on direct feedback from residents. Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones said:
“As your Commissioner, I represent you and your concerns. My role enables you to have a direct say on policing in your area and holding your police force to account. “Being re-elected as your Police and Crime Commissioner for a second term is an overwhelming endorsement of the work I’ve delivered to date, specifically the recruitment of 650 additional police officers, bringing back named and contactable Local Bobbies for every community and opening 10 more police stations and front counters. What’s next? That’s up to you. “Now, I want get started on the next four years. By hearing from you, I can develop policies and initiatives that resonate with the unique needs of where you live. “Your views will form the bedrock of my new Police and Crime Plan which is why I want to hear from as many people as possible.”
The Commissioner fulfilled all of the public’s pledges in her previous Police and Crime Plan. The survey to inform the next plan is now open for 10 weeks until 19th August, the results of which will be published in the Autumn. That might be stretching it somewhat, given the turn out.
didn’t she claim it to be a ‘landslide’ win,..
when in reality she got about 10% of the available vote…
.. and only 16% of the Island’s population voted, she much impact had she made in her first term…

Donna – it is relatively simple to start with
1. ensure that shoplifters are actively arrested and punished.
2. get rid of the anti social alcoholics that hang around the towns
3. stop focusing on pointless name calling on social media or pandering to someone who claims to be misgendered.
4. have open and available police stations in every town and officers on the beat, not hiding behind the desks
5. actively remove beggars from streets and ensure that any homeless are directed to homeless services and if they are not from the island, they are removed back to the mainland.

we now live in a society where everyone expects everything to be handed to them on a plate and for free, but no one wants to be the one who actually does the work to create and provide the goods and services, as well as pay for them.
the reality is that the UK and probably most of western societies need a cold hard shock – that being, no benefits, no freebies and unless you work, you get nothing. If this doesn’t happen, then eventually, the societies will collapse, with elderly, sick and disabled, dying in their homes of starvation, no food on the shelves as no one wants to be a farmer, no healthcare, as no one wants to be nurses/doctors etc, streets so dangerous that you only go out in the daylight – I think you get the picture
She could make herself redundant and then use that money to employ more police officers on the beat. At least they work for a living.
Or go on the beat herself.

Look at the shape all those free luches have left her in, well fed on the public purse…….
She could be deployed as a road block.
Again, comments not mostly about the job or what people see hasn’t been done, but crude jokes/comments about physical appearance. Moderator: you should not allow this. Allow comments that relate to the job or how people see she hasn’t done it, low attendance at vote or the state of Policing, absolutely, jokes about lunches/size/shape are not acceptable.
As Katie Hopkins once said, if someone can’t take care of their body, what does that say about them? Gluttony, laziness, lack of discipline?

Police are only employed to protect the so called Elite, Royals and MPs
No one else matters.
Have the guts to what every police force seems to fight shy of and take a zero tolerance approach to drugs. Their use destroys the lives of our young people, users commit further crimes to finance their habit and more and more people drive under the influence. These substances are illegal – enforce the law.
