Time is running out to sign up for the Isle of Wight’s annual night-time 5km fun-run, Dash in the Dark, taking place on Saturday 3rd October at Robin Hill, in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Almost 500 tickets have already been snapped up, with all proceeds from the family-friendly 5K going towards the region’s dedicated air ambulance charity.
Participants of all ages can sign up, and everyone is encouraged to light up the night in their brightest clothes, neon face-paints and fluorescent glow-sticks. All participants will receive a free Dash in the Dark T-shirt and a glow in the dark medal.
Keith Wilson, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Director of Income and Engagement, said:
“Dash in the Dark has cemented itself as one of the most popular and enjoyable 5ks in the region. Hundreds of supporters come back year after year to enjoy the vibrant and relaxed atmosphere, while raising money for a life-saving cause.”
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance doctors, pilots and paramedics have responded to almost 1,800 emergencies so far this year.
The service completed its relocation to its new airbase near Southampton Airport in June 2026 – improving response times to incidents across the Island. Online registration is open until midnight on 30th September. Tickets can be purchased here.
