Residents, staff and families at Vecta House Care Home have celebrated after the Isle of Wight home was officially rated ‘Good’ following its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
The milestone was marked with a community celebration that brought together residents and staff, their families, and local supporters.
High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight Nigel Hartley MBE was a special guest at a morning reception, where he delivered an address alongside Vecta House General Manager Faye Parker.
Melanie Gartell, Head teacher of Summerfield’s Primary School, was also among those attending the event.
Guests watched a ceremonial cake cutting before enjoying a festive buffet prepared by the care home’s in-house kitchen team.

Celebrations continued into the afternoon when local performer Doug Stephens provided live musical entertainment, with residents, family members and staff taking to the dance floor.
Faye Parker, General Manager at Vecta House, has said:
