HM Coastguard is working to free a woman who is reported to be stuck in the mud near Bouldnor this afternoon (Thursday).
At just before 15:00, Solent Coastguard received a report of an individual stuck near to Bouldnor Battery, between Hamstead and Yarmouth.
Coastguard Rescue Teams from Ventnor and Needles are now on scene and are working to free the woman.
Yarmouth RNLI has been launched to assist with the rescue operation.
UPDATE @ 17:20 – The casualty has been placed onto a stretcher and transferred to Yarmouth’s All Weather Lifeboat.
She is being taken to Yarmouth Harbour for further medical assistance.
