Coastguard Rescue Officers were tasked to assist paramedics when a man fell in the West Wight earlier this morning (Saturday).
Needles and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams were mobilised to Colwell Bay at 08:37 following a request for assistance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
It has been confirmed that a male casualty had become injured after a fall on the sea wall between Totland and Colwell.
3 Coastguard trucks were sent to the scene.
The injured man was swiftly stretchered to the awaiting ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital.
HM Coastguard stood down from the incident shortly before 09:50.
