A closed barbers in the heart of Shanklin could be turned into a new tattoo studio.
A planning application has been lodged with County Hall for a change of use of 52B High Street, Shanklin.
The building was previously home to Cassanova Barbers.
Submitted plans show the new ‘tattoo studio salon’ would comprise one room divided into a treatment and waiting area, with no changes to the existing shop.
The applicant’s Heritage Statement says there will be ‘no external changes’ and ‘no impact’ on the Shanklin Conservation Area if the proposal goes ahead.
A public consultation on the application ends on 29th April. A decision is expected on 19th May.
