The Salvation Army’s charity shops in Ryde and Shanklin are well and truly ready for Christmas as shoppers finally have the chance to get their hands on the special festive stock that has been saved up all year in readiness for the festive weeks ahead.
Along with the creative Christmas windows, customers are being treated to a host of gifts, toys, books, decorations and clothing that eagle-eyed volunteers and staff have cherry-picked from items donated over the last 12 months and saved up especially for Christmas.
Also on sale will be tea themed gifts, a variety of charity Christmas cards and range of unique Christmas decorations.
Justin Frost, regional manager for Salvation Army Trading Company, said:
“This year the Ryde and Shanklin shops have gone to town on its Christmas displays and there are some wonderful gems to be found. We find Christmas themed donations and decorations are often nearly brand new, so whether it’s a set of mix-and-match baubles, a Christmas jumper, or even a reindeer onesie, there will be something for everyone!”
Justin added:
“For many, Christmas can be hard to afford, so it’s good to know that by spending a little with us this festive season you could find your perfect Christmas presents while helping The Salvation Army make a big difference to people’s lives.”
Money raised from the shops contribute to The Salvation Army’s valuable work with people who are vulnerable and in need across the UK, including homelessness and addiction services, care for older people, help at emergency incidents, support for adult victims of human trafficking in England and Wales and a Family Tracing Service.
