A spectacular stage production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang The Musical is set to take over Shanklin Theatre for a limited run from Thursday (30th April) until next Sunday (3rd May).
Based on the much-loved classic, the show tells the story of eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts, his children, and their magical flying car. Audiences can expect a lively mix of adventure, humour and well-known songs including “Truly Scrumptious”, “Toot Sweets” and “Hushabye Mountain”.
The production promises dazzling choreography and a colourful journey from the Potts family home to the fantastical land ruled by the Baron, offering entertainment for all ages.
This latest staging also highlights a generational link to previous performances on the Isle of Wight. When the show was last performed at the venue in 2019 by The Island Savoyards, the roles of Jeremy and Jemima Potts were played by George Sales and Ellen Careless. In this new production by Curtain Call Creative, those roles are now performed by their younger siblings, Lennon Sales and Polly Careless, alongside Maisie Walker-Green and Charlie Dickson.
The 2026 cast also sees Luke Cumberpatch and Emily Scotcher return to the lead roles of Caractacus Potts and Truly Scrumptious.
Performances run from Thursday 30th April through to Sunday 3rd May.
Tickets are priced at £22 for adults and £18 for children, with discounts available for group bookings of 10 or more via the Box Office.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.shanklintheatre.com or by calling 01983 868000.

beats paying ferry fares.
