An individual who stole cash and alcohol from a hotel in Shanklin during the early hours of this morning (Thursday) is being sought.
Sometime between 03:30 and 05:30, a male entered the Shanklin Beach Hotel on the Esplanade and stole money tins from reception using what the hotel staff describe as ‘distracting tactics’.
The suspect then proceeded to force entry to the bar stockroom, stealing hundreds of pounds worth of stock.
2 fire doors were damaged during the break-in also.
The matter has been reported to the Police and CCTV footage has been captured – although it’s said that the suspect was clever at hiding their identity.

.
clever isn’t the word I would use to describe this P rick. If the individual concerned was clever, he would have a job and not need to steal from others.
One of many dregs in society stealing from others. He probably hasn’t got a job, probably never has, probably unemployable due to his attitude that ‘everything should be given to him for free from society, including stealing’.
Pure scum.
I agree with you totally. I am so sick of reading about all the low life scum who live on this beautiful island and all they do is, drive their car drunk, drive their car having sniffed, smoked or injected some shit to get a so called high, burglary, violence, driving too fast, kids smashing up other people’s property or setting fires and generally out of control and their parents don’t seem to care or give a fig.
Scum breeds scum. Sick and tired reading about it everyday. Think I need to stay off this site and FB for a while!
End up with £20 fine and can keep the booze he stole.. Cut his hands off!!
At the shoulder.
He walked into the reception of the hotel ‘sometime between 3.30 and 5.30’. There were staff there as he ‘distracted’ them somehow, so how do they not know what time it was? How did he then go on to break into a stockroom, damaging 2 firedoors in the process? What were the staff were doing while he was breaking down 2 doors and smashing glass? Presumably they were still ‘distracted’ when he walked out with a bag full of bottles too?
Also, the door in the picture doesn’t much resemble a firedoor and as for the state of the walls, floor and door – not a good advert for the hotel, is it?

since when are there any staff on duty at a reception at a run down hotel in the early hours of the morning?
since when are “money tins” left out overnight on said reception desk
why were fire doors damaged – surely if this is a hotel, then fire doors can be easily opened to enable residents or staff to escape in the event of a fire.
more questions than answers here -someone knows a bit more I think
“Sometime between 3:30 and 5:30”, they literally have CCTV, and this was after distracting staff supposedly.
This guy could be employed…..at the hotel!
