A car has been ‘extensively damaged’ as a result of a crash on Middle Road at Calbourne this evening (Friday).
Emergency services are on scene outside the Water Mill on the B3401 Newport Road.
Island Echo readers report that 1 vehicle has come to a stop facing the wrong way. A second vehicle has possibly also been involved.
The incident occurred shortly before 17:20.
UPDATE @ 19:10 – 1 person has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital by ambulance. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The scene has now been cleared.
