A Vauxhall Corsa has been written off after colliding with a truck on a busy crossroads in Ryde this lunchtime (Tuesday).
Emergency services have been called to the incident at the junction of Argyll Street and Green Street in the middle of Ryde.
Police and paramedics are on the scene having been alerted to the incident at around 13:00.
The female driver of the Corsa is being assessed.
Traffic is building in the area with one side of the carriageway blocked.
Hmm. I like cars, but I also like trucks.

I don’t know what’s wrong with people these days, they jump red lights all the time! A blue van did it in front of me just this afternoon at Coppins Bridge. Just as our lights turned green, the van shot through from the other direction, which means that he must have gone through on red. MANY years ago, there was a television advert telling drivers not to be an ‘Amber Gambler’. In recent years, it seems to have become the norm to go through on amber and even push it to going through on red – if you’re quick!!
You cant say that, Im her chavvy friend, she is my besty, we even share the same dad of our ten kids, wont her fault she is color blind, she had to drive fast as job centre tryin to find her work and she is stressed out at the fought so had a couple of joints. That or the car brakes, steering failed. God help us all.
